What is the ADA compliance?

The Department of Justice (DOJ) published the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design in September 2010. These standards state that all electronic and information technology must be accessible to people with disabilities.

Making your site ADA compliant is good to do in both theory and in practice, as it can only make your site easier to use. But certain attorneys have been using ADA compliance to attempt to file lawsuits against various businesses by claiming a site does not meet ADA standards. Luckily, if your business has received allegations regarding ADA compliance, there are steps you can take to combat the claims.
